In 1996, John returned to Maersk Inc. as a Regional Director and then as Senior Vice President. During this period, he was responsible for commercial activities of the company, including sales, customer service and marketing for North America and served on a number of boards.

John received his B.A. in Political Science from Ohio University and completed the Executive M.B.A. Program at the University of Michigan in 1997.

In 1979 Steve graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and holds a M.A. in Economics and a M.B.A. from Old Dominion University. Steve is currently pursuing a Ph.D. with an emphasis in International Political Economy. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and is Certified in Financial Management (CFM). Steve is also on the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel (N00k)

Mike is also a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia.

Bill served as Vice President of Sales for North America for CSX Transportation from 2001-2003 where he managed CSX's international offices in Europe, Mexico and Latin America as well as the logistics services company Transflo.

Prior to this, he was Vice President of Partner Relations for GT Nexus, a leading logistics software solutions provider.

From 1971-1999, he was with Sea-Land Service in the United States and Asia. During his career at Sea-Land, he was in charge of global sales, corporate marketing, Pacific Rim sales and marketing, the Hawaii-Guam Service, Buyers Consolidators and Sea-Land Logistics.

Bill earned a B.A. degree from Villanova University, and completed the Executive Marketing Program at the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.

He is a life member of the National Defense Transportation Association, and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Maritime Congress.

Rick originally joined Maersk Inc. in 1990 where he was an Account Executive in New York Sales. In 1993, Rick moved to the Line Department where he held various management positions in Transpacific and Latin Americas Services, including pricing, corporate sales, traffic and administration and trade management. In 1998, Rick was appointed General Manager, Dominican Republic. In 2001, he was promoted to General Manager, Peru.

Rick received a B.S. degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from Rider College in Trenton, N.J.

He is a member of various industry associations, including the National Defense Transportation Association and the National Defense Industrial Association. Rick also serves as a Director of the Propeller Club of the United States. He also served as Director of the Dominican Republic Maritime Association and as Vice President of the Maritime Association of Peru.

His background includes over twenty years of experience in the transportation industry including thirteen years with American President Lines and C.P. Ships where he held various financial management positions. He has also worked for the management consulting practice of Ernst & Young.

Steve holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. He is a graduate of the Executive Business Program at the University of Michigan.

Steve is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. Steve is a member of the Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Norfolk where he served as the Treasurer of the 80th Annual International Conference and Convention. Steve serves on the boards of the Virginia Maritime Association and the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance. He is also a board member of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra where he serves on the Finance Committee.

Prior to joining MLL in 2005, Ed was the Director of Fleet Repair for U.S. Ship Management, Inc. (USSMI) where he managed the maintenance and repair of 19 U.S. flag containerships chartered to Maersk.

Prior to joining USSMI in 2000 Ed was with Sea-Land Service for 15 years where his last position was General Manager of Vessel Operations responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the US flag fleet. Ed also served 5 years as President and Managing Director of InterSea Operations Ltd., an offshore subsidiary of Sea-Land that owned and managed 23 foreign flag containerships. Another key post held for 5 years was Director of Chartering Services where he was responsible for all fixture negotiations and administration of Sea-Land's 60 strong time chartered fleet.

Ed earned an Executive M.B.A. from Queens University in Charlotte, NC and is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY, where he received a B.S. with dual U.S. Cost Guard licenses in navigation and engineering and a commission in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

Ed is an officer of MLL and a Director of Farrell Lines. He is a member of the American Bureau of Shipping and the Society of Naval Architects/Marine Engineers and is a Director of the American Maritime Association and American Maritime Officer Services. Ed serves as a full Trustee of the AMO, MEBA and SIU pension and benefit Plans. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the United Seaman's Service, the American Maritime History Project and the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.

Greg joined Maersk Inc. in 1982. Following his promotion to Agency Manager in Dallas in 1985, he has held successive key agency leadership positions as Regional Director in New York/New Jersey in 1990 and Director of the Western region in Los Angeles in 1995. He was appointed Vice President of Commercial Operations for Maersk Sea-Land in 1998. He led the start up and development of the North American Customer Resource Centers in Houston, Charleston and Miami. Following the acquisition of Sea Land Services in 2000, he directed the successful nationwide integration of the combined customer service and documentation functions. In 2001, he directed the planning and establishment of the Global Shared Service Center in San Jose, Costa Rica. As Senior Director and Head of Sales for Maersk Line based in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2003 he led the global sales force integration and global area sales alignment initiatives Maersk Sealand and Maersk Logistics.

Greg is a 1981 graduate of Baylor University and a 2001 graduate of the Columbia University Senior Executive Program.

He holds a B.S. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NROTC) and M.A. degrees from the University of Rhode Island and the Navy War College. Bob is also a retired U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer.

Bob is a member of the Surface Navy Association, the National Defense Industrial Association, the American Society of Naval Engineers, the Society of Naval and Marine Engineers and the Lloyds Register North America Advisory Council. He is a certified Ship's Superintendent by Det Norske Veritas.

Before joining MLL in 2005 as the company’s Director of Financial Processes and Control, he was the Corporate Controller at U.S. Ship Management. With more than 19 years of experience in the transportation industry with Sea-Land Service and U.S. Ship Management, he has held various financial management and operations positions.

Scott holds a B.S. in Accounting from Richard Stockton State College in New Jersey and a M.B.A degree from the McColl School of Business at Queens University in Charlotte, NC.

Prior to his current position, he was a commercial fleet manager in MLL’s technical organization. Since joining MLL in 1999, he has held a variety of operating positions in the company including management of spot market, container and government vessels. Dave also spent a year in Copenhagen, Denmark in an exchange program between technical management organizations.

Before joining MLL, he sailed with the Military Sealift Command, and has continued his military service as a Naval Reserve Officer, supporting recovery efforts with the U.S. Navy's Second Fleet in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita and serving a year in Iraq under Joint Special Operations Command.

Dave graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and received M.S. from Old Dominion University and Troy University.

He spent an additional six years with the government as a Transportation Contracting Officer for the Military Sealift Command and Military Traffic Management Command. For more than 11 years, he has held various management positions in government marketing for MLL.

Tony is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and holds a B.S. degree in Business Logistics.

He is a member of the National Defense Transportation Association, the National Defense Industrial Association, Association of the United States Army, the Propeller Club of the United States and the Navy League of the United States.

He has worked within the Maersk organization since 1994 where he started as an Export Service Coordinator. He has an extensive background in the shipping industry and throughout his years with Maersk, he’s served in a variety of positions including Director of Global Sales.

Torben graduated from Babson College in 1994 with a B.S. in Entrepreneurial Studies and Business Administration. He completed the Management Acceleration Program at INSEAD in 2004.

Torben is a member of the National Defense Transportation Association.

As a retired 29 year U.S. Navy veteran, Gordan is tasked to facilitate and strengthen MLL's role as a valued business partner to the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Navy. Gordan assists in maintaining an active dialog with DoD on maritime security issues and piracy, APMM/MLL commercial best practices, innovation in energy efficiency, sustainment, sea-basing, sealift, modularity and commercial ship conversions.

In April 2009, he led the Maersk crisis response team in Mombasa, Kenya dealing with the Maersk Alabama incident.

As a third generation surface warfare officer, Capt Van Hook had a distinguished and broad career, including:

• Executive Director of the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel (OPNAV N00K), a federal advisory committee of 32 civilian leaders from government, industry and academia that provide advice to the CNO on issues of strategy, policy, technology and innovation.
• Chief Engineer on USS SAMUEL B. ROBERTS (FFG-58) when she struck a mine in the Persian Gulf in 1988 during the "Tanker War", and he was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat "V" for his actions to save the ship.
• Commanded USS O'BANNON (DD-987) and served as operations officer for Fifth Fleet to launch Operation Enduring Freedom into Afghanistan after 9/11.
• Commanded DESTROYER SQUADRON 23,
• Sea Combat Commander for the NIMITZ (CVN-68) Strike Group.
• Ashore, Capt Van Hook served as a program manager with the NATO C3 Agency, as the C4I Cell Director for the Assistant Chief of Naval Operations for Surface Warfare (OPNAV N86), as the Deputy Director for Maritime Security Cooperation (OPNAV N52B), and as a Senior Fellow on the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Strategic Studies Group.

Capt. Van Hook has a M.S. in Information Systems from the Naval Postgraduate School and an M.A. in National Security Strategy from the U.S. Naval War College.

He is a member of the U.S. Navy League, Surface Navy Association and National Defense Industrial Association.
