US Military Contract Cargo

Most cargo belonging to the U.S. Military moves through the Defense Transportation System and is managed by the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). US Flag carriers have contracted with SDDC to move this cargo under the Universal Service Contract (USC). Maersk Line, Limited is a proud participant in this partnership between industry and the U.S. Military. Under the USC, we regularly move cargo that is important to the U.S. Military -- everything from uniforms to store-shelf items -- and we provide both ocean transportation and associated logistics services for this important customer.
